Translational Medicine – From Lab to Life: Translating Research into Medical Innovations
Event Overview:
Young scientists from all eight German Centres for Health Research (DZG) are invited to a two-day conference focused on translating research into medical practice. Key topics include:
- How research findings can become medical innovations.
- Crucial steps in the translation process.
- Building networks with essential partners.
The event combines informative sessions and practical exercises, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and a broader perspective on science.
Present Your Research:
- Submit abstracts, regardless of medical indication or methodology.
- Present your work via poster or science pitch.
A science pitch offers a unique chance to present your project clearly and concisely, ideal for interdisciplinary audiences. You’ll have five minutes on stage to pitch your research and engage with experts from diverse backgrounds.

How to get there
The DZG Science & Career Day 2024 takes place at the German Institute for Human Nutrition (DIfE), Arthur-Scheunert-Allee 114-116, 14558 Nuthetal.
Going from Berlin Hauptbahnhof to the meeting venue:
The RE7 takes you directly from Berlin Hauptbahnhof to Potsdam, Rehbrücke Bhf. Alternatively, you may travel with the S7 or RE1 from Berlin Hauptbahnhof to Bahnhof Wannsee and from there the RE7 will take you to Potsdam, Rehbrücke Bhf. Bus 611 in the direction of Saarmund Bergstraße will take you to Bergholz-Rehbrücke, R.-Kuckuck-Str./DIfE.
