Promotion of Young Scientists

Career support for young scientists

Successful translational research requires interdisciplinary and well-networked researchers who focus on the development of new therapies and preventive measures.

The central goals of our working group are:

- imparting specialist knowledge

- gaining competence for translational research

- establishment of a professional, interdisciplinary and cross-indication network

In cross-center events, young scientists and researching physicians expand both their network and their knowledge of translational research.

The working group presents career opportunities in the DZG at conferences: Annual GAIN Conference.

Programme-Highlights:

  • Kick-off seminar: ‘Translational research - What is it all about?’ on 9 October 2024 via Zoom
  • Workshops: Two on-site and three online workshops on the topic of ‘Small molecules and drug development’
  • Mentoring: Intensive support for 15 selected participants

Programme language is English.

All interested DZG young scientists can participate in the kick-off seminar and the online workshops. The on-site events and mentoring are limited to 15 selected programme participants.

Registration is possible in good time before the respective events.

DZG Science and Career Day

Experiencing successful translation at first hand and improving their own career skills in workshops - this is what young researchers can do at the "DZG Science and Career Day". Following the successful premiere in 2023, this exchange format will now take place annually.
